Mocktails, Music and Models….

Did you come to our ‘down to earth’ runway show?

On April 13th we showcased our autumn/winter collections in our Subiaco Western Australian store.

Kicking off the runway show our lovely customer Rossanna took to the stage with a ‘welcome to country’ and kept our customers entertained throughout the event sharing details of our collections and their many features and benefits.

Whilst ambient sounds enveloped our store curated by Perth DJ Raghav Sharma our five stunning Perth models strode onto our runway as our guests sipped on our secret recipe mocktails.

The key principles of our signature style remained constant for the show; those being:

1)       Genuine Sustainable Materials – linen, organic cotton

2)      Neutral Palettes

3)      Earth Inspired

4)      Layering

5)      Comfort

6)      Clever Design to cater for all body shapes, (our lovely mid pregnancy model Ali showing below how easy our designs work for maternity style).

Our own label ‘t.m.b the label’ (aka the.modern.boho) combined beautifully with our European linen collections to reflect our modern boho signature.

Celebrating the modern boho man was a highlight of the show with the notion of gender fluid clothing that works for all. The Nadia garment is a perfect example whereby it can become a dress, a coat, a duster or simple layering item when sometimes a longer length is statement enough.

In describing the modern boho signature style it helps to understand ‘Bohemian Nuances’…….

1)      Individuality: Bohemian style is all about personal expression, allowing individuals to create their own unique style that reflects their personality and experiences, rather than following mainstream trends.

2)      Unconventionality: This includes embracing unique and often unconventional ideas, behaviours, and aesthetics, challenging societal norms and expectations.

3)      Creativity: Bohemians often have a strong artistic spirit, expressing themselves through various outlets like art, music, writing and design.

4)      Free Spirit: Bohemians are often characterised by a love of freedom, a rejection of routine, and a willingness to explore new experiences.

5)      Love For Nature: Many bohemians have a deep connection to nature, seeking inspiration and beauty in the natural world.

6)      Non – Materialism: Bohemians can be associated with a rejection of materialism. Prioritising experiences and personal growth over material wealth.

7)      Cultural Exploration: Bohemians often embrace diverse cultures, showing an open mind towards new ideas and experiences.

8)      Fashion: Bohemian fashion can be characterised by unique clothing combinations, vintage pieces, and a focus on comfort and natural fabrics.

9)      Interior Design: Bohemian interiors often feature a mix of textures, and natural materials creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

10)   Lifestyle: Bohemian living can involve embracing unconventional work arrangements, exploring different lifestyles and prioritising personal growth and self-discovery.

If you missed this ‘runway show’ rest assured we will be hosting more in store events throughout 2025 for our customers so stay tuned!
